Rutherford Hall: before and after. A few days ago, UGA demolished this beautiful building that reflects the neoclassical architecture that’s all over Athens. It was built in the 1930s under FDR’s New Deal. The worst part? They’re rebuilding a dorm building on the same spot that looks almost identical to the one that was already there. When will people learn that just because something is newer does NOT mean it’s better?
